Ashleigh Danker concentrates her practice on Chapter 11 reorganizations, representing a variety of debtors-in-possession, Chapter 11 trustees, creditors committees, secured creditors, and individual creditors in all phases of complex Chapter 11 cases from the filing of the petition through plan confirmation and consummation.
全部显示Her experience includes representation of debtors-in-possession and Chapter 11 trustees in confirming plans of reorganization or liquidation; obtaining approval of sales of substantially all business assets on an emergency basis; evaluating complex bank fraud and lender liability claims; and prosecuting and defending preference and fraudulent transfer claims.
She has also represented secured creditors in confirming a competing plan of reorganization and film producers in protecting their rights with respect to bankrupt film distribution companies. Out of court, Ms. Danker has represented debtors, creditors, and non-debtor defendants in negotiating and documenting restructurings of major debt and settlements of significant lawsuits.
The diverse types of businesses that Ms. Danker has assisted (or pursued on behalf of creditors) include two major airports, a music recording company, a Hawaii-based supermarket chain, a non-profit electricity market in California, a variety of manufacturing companies (plastics, nutriceuticals, apparel, etc.), a distributor of licensed sporting apparel, a home video distribution company, an Internet-based entertainment company, a savings and loan holding company, a financial investment corporation, a canning company, a health maintenance organization, a refuse collection company, a veterinary clinic, real estate partnerships, and a corporation owning and operating hotel properties.
In April 2011, Ms. Danker spoke as a Bloomberg Law Seminar panelist on Recent Developments in Municipal Financial Distress - What Can Municipalities Do?
In June 2011, Ms. Danker moderated and spoke as a panelist on Bankruptcy and Intellectual Property: Rights and Remedies as part of the Spring Seminar 2011 sponsored by the Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association and the San Diego Intellectual Property Law Association.
Ms. Danker co-authored Transfer of Intellectual Property Rights in Bankruptcy, 820 PLI/Comm 1141 (April 2001), and also serves as a court-approved bankruptcy mediator.
