Mr. Feldman has been trying jury trials for over 35 years and focuses on high-profile litigation. He has handled a wide variety of cases. His diverse experience is best exemplified by the fact that he represented a young 13-year-old boy who accused Michael Jackson of child molestation, as well as defending major entertainment and political personalities accused of wrongful conduct. He has represented numerous plaintiffs against insurance companies for the bad faith refusal to pay benefits. He has represented numerous clients against lawyers who have committed malpractice, as well as defending major law firms who have been charged with malpractice. Mr. Feldman has handled all types of labor litigation, aircraft litigation and products liability litigation. Mr. Feldman has both prosecuted on behalf of businesses as well as defended businesses in wrongful termination and contract litigation. Recently, Mr. Feldman obtained a $156 million verdict against an insurance company for fraud, a $28 million wrongful termination verdict, a $15 million verdict against Disney, and obtained a defense verdict for a Dow Jones 30 company in a claim for $1 billion. Mr. Feldman has tried over 100 civil jury trials and obtained hundreds of millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts for his clients.
In addition to being a prominent civil lawyer, Mr. Feldman served as President of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Los Angeles Trial Lawyers Association. He currently serves on the Committee of the prestigious Book of Approved Jury Instructions (BAJI) and on the Board of the California Lawyer Magazine, as well as on the Board of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
Mr. Feldman graduated Cum Laude in 1969 from Loyola University in Los Angeles. Mr. Feldman was Editor-in-Chief of the Loyola Law Review and graduated No. 1 in his class.
Mr. Feldman has once again been named one of the “Nation’s Top 10 Commercial Litigation Lawyers” by the United States Lawyer Rankings List for 2008 and 2009, is cited in the Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business (2005-2009) and remains the “go to person for trial work in the entertainment sector.” Mr. Feldman is also included in the prestigious California Lawyer “Most Respected Lawyers,” was named the “Top Tort Lawyer” by Los Angeles Magazine and was named one of the “500 Leading Litigators in America” by Lawdragon, a company that rates lawyers and judges.
