Dr. Thomas A. Jesch joined Kaye Scholer (Germany) LLP as Counsel in March 2006. He focuses on the areas of tax law, investment funds, private equity, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions.
全部显示Prior to joining Kaye Scholer, Dr. Jesch practiced law at the Frankfurt office of another major U.S. law firm since 2001 where he advised on the structuring of private equity funds with an emphasis on distressed opportunities/non-performing loans and real estate as well as on cross-border M&A transactions.
Dr. Jesch studied law at Philipps University of Marburg. He completed the First German State Exam in 1996. He served his legal clerkship (Referendariat) at the regional court in Frankfurt as well as in Marburg, Giessen and Munich. Dr. Jesch completed the Second German State Exam in 1998. Throughout his studies, he worked for major US and German law firms in Budapest, Frankfurt, Munich and Washington, DC. While working on his doctoral thesis on the fiscal constitution of Hong Kong, he was a visiting researcher at the University of Hong Kong.
The International Who's Who of Business Lawyers (2011 and 2012 Editions) lists Dr. Jesch as a leader in the field of Private Funds.
The Who’s Who Legal: Germany 2012 selected Dr. Jesch as one of Germany’s leading business lawyers.
Dr. Jesch is the author of numerous books and articles, particularly on tax and private equity issues. Furthermore, he is lecturer at European Business School Oestrich-Winkel.
