Mr. Laurenzi represents a broad range of companies in all aspects of intellectual property law with a particular focus on patent litigation. He has represented clients in computer and communications-related technologies such as VoIP telephony, cellular data processing, low-power point-to-point and mesh wireless networks, pre-payment systems, screen image insertion and capture devices, video image processing, vehicular toll payment card systems, anti-virus and database optimization software. He has also litigated business method patents relating to Exchange-Traded Funds (“ETFs”) and options trading.
全部显示In addition to litigation and courtroom experience, Mr. Laurenzi provided in house IP counseling to a major communications company for several years in matters concerning pre-litigation patent investigations, non-infringement and validity studies, and patent litigation settlement facilitation. Technologies-at-issue included mobile e-mail devices, cellular antenna systems and push-to-talk communication protocols. In that capacity, he also negotiated software and system purchase and licensing agreements, and facilitated IP indemnification coverage for complex IP transactions. He has also drafted and prosecuted numerous patents through to issuance in technologies as varied as data encryption, planar antenna design and glass manufacture.
Mr. Laurenzi received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Temple University. Prior to practicing law, he was employed as an electrical engineer for wireline telecommunication and 800 MHz digital radio projects.
