Barry H. Lawrence was a founding Partner of the Los Angeles office of Kaye Scholer.
全部显示Mr. Lawrence focused in the area of corporate finance in the broadest sense involving IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and licensing for companies engaged in a broad range of businesses including real estate, healthcare, and their allied service and capital providers, such as investment bankers and banks.
Mr. Lawrence also focused his practice on providing fund and joint venture best-practice business structure and strategy advice to sponsors of opportunity funds, REITs, and their local partners and investors across the globe.
Mr. Lawrence has been a guest lecturer and speaker before numerous professional groups and seminars, including an agency of the Government of Japan (Tokyo) and the Israeli Ministry of Environment (Tel Aviv), and quasi-government groups in Hong Kong and Beijing, and the Milken Institute where he was a co-featured speaker with Alvin Toffler, the author of Future Shock (Los Angeles), all regarding public policy and finance issues. He is also an instructor at the University of California at Berkeley-sponsored program for finance issues. He has published a number of articles in various papers and journals on finance issues.
Prior to joining Kaye Scholer, he has served as Professor of Law and Assistant Dean at the California College of Law; Deputy Attorney General, State of California; Court Appointed Receiver; National Television Analyst, Financial News Network; and Panelist/Moderator, Continuing Education of the Bar, University of California at Berkeley.
