Marc Rosenberg is a Partner in the New York office of Kaye Scholer. Mr. Rosenberg is active in all aspects of the firm’s bankruptcy and creditors’ rights practice, including extensive experience in the following areas:

Business reorganizations representing both large and mid-cap companies in diverse industries in bankruptcy proceedings. Chapter 11 cases in which Mr. Rosenberg has played a significant role on the company side include Bibb Company, Integrated Health, Rotech Medical and Strawberries Records.
- Debtor in possession and exit financing arrangements representing individual lenders or lender groups. Representative engagements include the lenders in the Foamex, Golden Books, Penn Traffic and Spiegel Chapter 11 cases.
- Acquisitions of entire businesses or discrete assets from distressed sellers on behalf of strategic acquirors and private equity sponsors. Representative engagements include Jones Apparel in its acquisition of Kasper and Fox Paine in its acquisition of certain businesses from Warnaco.
Mr. Rosenberg was an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team that represented the secured lenders in the SemGroup bankruptcy case. Prior to that, he represented the secured lenders to American Color Graphics in connection with the merger of American Color Graphics and Vertis in their dual prepackaged Chapter 11 cases.
Mr. Rosenberg was named one of the “Outstanding Young Bankruptcy Lawyers” by Turnarounds & Workouts. He has also been recognized as a New York Super Lawyer. The firm’s Business Reorganization and Creditors’ Rights group has regularly been recognized by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, and was recently ranked nationally in the 2010 Best Law Firms rankings, by U.S. News Media Group and Best Lawyers.
Mr. Rosenberg has lectured before bar and trade associations on a variety of bankruptcy-related topics, including debtor in possession and exit financing, and distressed mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Rosenberg presently serves on the board of directors of the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors.
Mr. Rosenberg joined Kaye Scholer in 1993 after completing a clerkship with the Honorable Burton R. Lifland, the then-Chief U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of New York.
