Jeffrey Saltman

Jeffrey Saltman is an accomplished trial and appellate lawyer with experience in complex intellectual property, antitrust and regulatory matters. He participated in a successful patent infringement defense trial involving electrical connectors in the Eastern District of Texas (Marshall Division). His experience also includes a multibillion-dollar antitrust and patent litigation involving a large pharmaceutical company, a merger of multinational aviation manufacturers, and a study of escalating energy costs in the state of Maryland.

As a result of these and other matters, Mr. Saltman has participated in litigation in federal and state courts in California, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, New York, Texas and Virginia.

While in law school, Mr. Saltman interned for the Hon. James F. Merow of the United States Court of Federal Claims.

  • Representation of the leading manufacturer of high-voltage electrical connectors in a patent infringement defense trial in the Eastern District of Texas (Marshall Division), resulting in a jury verdict invalidating both of the asserted patents.

  • Representation of a gift card manufacturer in a declaratory judgment action in the District of Delaware seeking to invalidate a patent related to gift card technology.

  • Representation of two major United States Ports in defense suits regarding their implementation of the Clean Truck Program.

  • Representation of multiple customers of a gift card manufacturer in patent infringement defense suits involving their use of gift card technology.

  • Representation of a state energy regulatory agency in drafting a report discussing solutions to help alleviate the high energy costs residents experienced as a result of deregulation.

  • Representation of large pharmaceutical corporation in a multibillion-dollar antitrust and patent litigation matter involving pharmaceuticals used to treat anemia.

  • Representation of a manufacturer of aircraft wheels and brakes in conjunction with its purchase of another aircraft wheel and brake manufacturer.

Pro Bono Matters

  • Participated in the Holocaust survivor project to recover wages from the government of Germany for work performed in European ghettos during World War II.
