David Soofian focuses his practice on patent litigation and client counseling matters, and has worked with technologies in a variety of fields, including software, business methods, light circuits, aerospace and pharmaceuticals. His litigation experience ranges from discovery through trial and appeal; drafting discovery motions, pre-trial motions, witness scripts and post-trial briefs; and assisting in depositions, opening arguments and closing arguments. In counseling clients, Mr. Soofian performs due diligence on patent portfolios.

Prior to joining Kaye Scholer, Mr. Soofian worked as a technical advisor drafting patent applications, responses to office actions, appeal briefs and reply briefs. Mr. Soofian earned his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering at Columbia University and is registered before the United States Patent & Trademark office.
