Eyber to Discuss Cross-Border Litigation Topics at Premier DAV Conference

November 5-6, 2015
Sheraton Berlin Grand Hotel Esplanade

Frankfurt-based Litigation partner Dr. Klaus Eyber will present “Cross Border Litigation & International Asset Tracing” at the German Lawyers Association’s (DeutscherAnwaltVerein; DAV) In-house Counsel Day (Syndikusanwaltstag). The two-day conference, now in its 22nd year, will take place November 5–6 at the Sheraton Berlin Grand Hotel Esplanade.

DAV sponsors invited Eyber on the strength of a recommendation from the legal department of German car manufacturer Audi. Eyber had previously presented on similar topics to Audi’s legal department, which thought his presentation would be of interest to a wider audience. The topics include jurisdictional issues in international damage claims, strategy and tactics in cross-border cases, FTAs (fast track measures) and how to obtain them; access to third-party assets and piercing sovereign immunity in private enforcement proceedings.

DAV is the biggest and best-known private association of lawyers in the German-speaking legal community. Eyber is one of the few speakers from a Germany-based law firm at the conference, which is organized exclusively for in-house counsel. The majority of this year’s speakers are foreign lawyers, government and public administration officials, and German corporations, including METRO, Merck, Commerzbank, BOSCH, Deutsche Bahn, Audi and others.
