This breakfast seminar, held in our Frankfurt office, will explore the limits of employee supervision and control, with special respect to employment, labor and data privacy laws.
Employers that supervise and/or control their employees with regard to their activities and performance have to keep in mind that such procedures are often perceived by employees as spying. Whereas supervision and certain kinds of control are legally allowed, spying is not. Where is the limit? What is allowed with respect to which conditions?
This seminar provides a summary on the different measures of employees’ supervision and control, their effects on employment (with special respect to social media activities and co-determination rights of the works council) and the consequences for employers who have not complied with the necessary basic legal rules in supervising their employees. A question-and-answer session will follow.
