The Diversity & Flexibility Alliance, a think tank dedicated to creating work environments centered on inclusion and innovative thought leadership, featured IP associate David Soofian in this month’s “Spotlight on Flex,” a column in the organization’s monthly newsletter that highlights the story and successes of an attorney from a member organization working a flexible schedule.
During the interview, Soofian speaks to how he has made flexibility a priority and success in his career, how clients have contributed to his flex success, and how working flexibly has enhanced his business and professional development.
Soofian also notes his role in the development of Kaye Scholer’s Parent's Network, an affinity group that focuses on family issues without regard to gender. Attendees are encouraged to share their unique views on topics such as flexibility and work-life balance so that everyone can learn from each other.
Says Soofian, “It's great to know you're not the only person looking for work-life control and that there are parents in all departments (and of various seniority) trying to achieve the same goal. I believe this community feeling creates a sense of shared-support in our shared-goal.”
