Marc Cohen and Julie Belezzuoli Co-Author Article on Municipal Bankruptcies for American Bankruptcy Institute Battleground West Program

Marc S. Cohen, Partner and Los Angeles Chair of the Business Reorganization and Creditors’ Rights practice group, and Julie Belezzuoli, Associate in the Los Angeles Office, co-authored an article titled “Chapter 9 Municipal Bankruptcy: Municipalities Facing Financial Crisis,” which was included in the American Bankruptcy Institute’s program materials for its annual Bankruptcy Battleground West Conference held on March 4, 2011. The article provided an in-depth analysis of the ongoing state bankruptcy debate, outlined factors to evaluate the financial health of municipalities, and provided an overview of cities, counties and states currently facing financial distress.
